An Easy Day of Service....

On September 15, the Lord blessed us with an easy day. The weather was wonderful, we had just a good number of volunteers. Lunch was provided and arrived right on time (Thank you Barb!). It really was a glorious day. Check out the photos, they confirm the wonder of the day.

The other note worthy event happened during the Auto Care Saturday Class. The fall class was "What should you have in your car in case of a road side emergency?" Tim was the teacher and used a store packed emergency kit to explain the various items you should have in your car in case it broke down. At the end of the class, we placed all the participants names in a hat and the first one pulled out was sent home with the store packed emergency kit. The winner was Joanna:

In keeping with the theme of emergency equipment, we gave each driver a free poncho to use if it rains and your car breaks down. Ever try to look at your care while holding an umbrella? Nothing but wet happens. We hope everyone enjoyed the gift. We hope you never have to use it.

On more thing, if you registered on-line you found out the Fall and Winter Auto Care Saturdays are the last two events to be hosted at Chapelgate Presbyterian Church. After serving faithfully for more than 10 years, the current leadership team was ready to retire. When that was determined, we immediately began to seek new leadership and a new location. After two years of searching, we think we have found a new location along with a body of believers excited to serve.

The location is 2015 Old Liberty Road W, Westminster, MD 21157. The body excited to serve is Freedom Church. We we meet with their team this summer and where quickly overwhelmed at their love of Christ and their heart to serve. They also have a great facility and had great ideas on how to improve this ministry.

At this post, we are still praying and working out some of the details. As soon as we know, where God is leading us, we will let you know. In the mean time pray for us (Dwayne, Greg, Tim, Bryan, and Jamette), few things are more encouraging to us.

Loving God by Loving Others,

Your Auto Care Saturday Gang
